Overview
Intro to (Digital) Illustration
Learn to draw using your iPad or desktop. This class is great for beginners. I’ll teach you how to create original illustrations all on your tablet or computer using Clip Studio Paint (or other drawing software of your choice). We’ll cover things from how to set up a canvas, choosing what tools to use, drawing complex objects using simple shapes, creating visually compelling line work, shading, coloring and more!
Digital Comics
Learn to use your tablet or computer to create and publish digital & print comics. A slightly more advanced class; I’ll show you how to take comics from sketch to finished page all on your computer. You’ll learn about creating storyboards, action and movement, panel transitions, story flow, lettering and publishing.

Q: Where are classes available?
A: In person classes are available in the Warwick/Cranston area of Rhode Island. Online classes are available anywhere in the US.
Q: What equipment do I need to take the class?
A: You will need your own drawing tablet or iPad, as well as some drawing software. If you need information or recommendations about what to use, feel free to contact me.
Q: How will classes be conducted?
A: Remote classes will be taught via video chat. You will need a Google or Zoom account and a computer with a microphone and web cam, as well as the ability to screen share to participate. In person classes can be taught either in your home or at my home. Additionally, once things begin to open up after COVID, the option to hold classes in a public setting such as a library may become an option.
Q: What precautions do you take to keep kids safe?
A: All kids under the age of 18 will need the written permission of a parent or guardian in order to participate in the classes. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that kids taking online classes do so on a computer that is located in a place that can be easily supervised by an adult. Parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to sit in on classes to observe. As for COVID safety, please know that I have been fully vaccinated and can provide proof of vaccination if requested. Additionally, a mask will be required for both myself and any students in order to participate in the class.
